BEV Rom 3 Open

Introduction

This simple guide will explain how to open a BEV Rom 3 CAM that is below Rev 380. This guide will assume you have some basic knowledge and know how to download files off the internet and unzip them. This is the pay off of the find EMMs project. We found the correct data to send to the CAM to enable us to open it

Programming your AVR

The first step is to program your AVR board with na_worm. If you don't know how to program an AVR board, read this guide.

Connect the LED Now, determine what type of Atmel you have (either DIP, PLCC or TQFP). Here is how to connect the LED to your Atmel:

Pin	DIP	PLCC	TQFP
GND	20	22	16
PC3	24	27	21

Insert CAM Put the Rom 3 in the Card Slot of the AVR board

Insert AVR into ISO Programmer Insert the CAM into your ISO Programmer. The LED will stay lit as long as the cam is still locked. The LED will turn off when the CAM is unlocked. This usually takes less than 10 seconds but could take up to 10 minutes.
